The report “Access to individual microdata: timeliness and recommendations” , was the result of collaborative work within the REPLAN Multisectoral Monitoring Team, and explores the topic of access to individual microdata, analysing the current situation in Portugal and providing recommendations for its future development.

This report resulted from the session “Access to microdata – Modalities and good practices” and was one of the objectives of this session that took place in the Library of the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security on 15 October 2025, where 40 representatives of almost all the bodies of the Multisectoral Monitoring Team of the REPLAN were present.

One of the objectives of the session was to promote the debate and reflection on the specific needs of access / obtaining statistical information by the Planning Offices and similar entities, for the exercise of their functions, and the discussion and analysis on the feasibility of the use of existing access modalities by those bodies to meet their needs.
